My Journey

Ever since I was young, I had a passion for real estate and saving money. I was the weird kid who my mom would give me 5 bucks for lunch money, instead, buy a dollar’s worth of candy for the day and pocket the difference. I would then save that money for the next shiny thing I had my eyes set on to purchase. I thought my saving strategy was cool. As I got older, I started to focus my attention on ways to actually make money. I got good at selling old clothes, toys, bikes, you name it, and turning it for a profit. That started to get addicting, and I was hooked.

Once I got to college, I realized that my knowledge of finance was better than most and became a finance major with a minor in Economics. Which I found very suitable for what I was good at.

Post College (My Debt)

I got my career started in the mortgage industry in 2007 after graduating college and had mounts of student loan and credit card debt to pay off. During that time, the housing collapse started and being a 100% commissioned Loan Originator was not the easiest way to start my career off financially.

To dig myself out of the financial hole I was in, fortunately my weird money-making strategies from when I was young paid off. Although the strategies I used were a bit risky, I realized I was really good at finance as a whole. After a few years, I was able to wipe out all debt while building wealth and assets such as real estate.

The Wallet Wingman Moment

I started this blog in the 2020’s because the economic climate we are in right now reminds me so much of what it felt like when I started out my career back in 2007. Fears of recession, people losing their jobs, their homes, everything at an all-time high expensive. Not fun!

Only this time, I’m in a much better position financially and now want to pass down the knowledge and wisdom of what I learned over the last 15 years to you and showcase how you can accomplish your financial goals just like me, even in these uncertain times. In fact, learn how to benefit from it.
